Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has been voted as the Budget Smartphone of the year in the Device World Leadership Awards 2017. The award was presented during the sidelines of the Device World 2017 by Rajan Mathews, Director General, Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI).

According to the survey jointly conducted by The Mobile Indian and TeleAnalysis, nearly 43 percent of the respondents voted for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 under the budget category segment. The Redmi Note 4 was the most preferred smartphone among nearly 150000 consumers spanning 30 cities in India. The survey was undertaken among consumers from East, West, North, Central and South regions respectively.

In addition to Xiaomi, the Device World 2017 was attended by several popular consumer brands such as Reliance Jio, Foxconn India, Huawei, OnePlus, Comio, and DataWind.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 specifications

The Redmi Note 4 features a 5.5-inch FHD display with 1000:1 contrast ratio with 72% NTSC color gamut. The display provides support for night display, reading mode in addition to color temperature adjustment.

The smartphone is available in 2GB, 3GB and 4GB RAM capacities with 32GB and 64GB expandable internal storage variants. While the 32GB is available for 2GB and 3GB RAM options, the 64GB storage model is accompanied by 4GB RAM. Xiaomi has integrated Snapdragon 625 processor running at a clock speed of 2GHz in all the three editions. Moreover, the phone ships with Adreno 506 graphics chipset. The processor is manufactured using 14nm LPP FinFET technology.

The rear side is equipped with a 13MP 5-piece lens sensor with f/2.0 aperture and PDAF support. It is possible to shoot HD slow-motion video recording at 120fps. On the front, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 includes a 5MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture with smart beautification features. The device also includes accurate face recognition capabilities.

Powered by a 4100mAh battery, the fingerprint sensor on the rear is housed on the rear of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. The product package is bundled with 5V/2A charger.

In addition to the 4G VoLTE, the Redmi Note 4 provides support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, GLONASS coupled with USB Type-C fast charging port. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 will be available via Flipkart and Mi.com starting at Rs. 8999 for the 2GB RAM variant.
