Karbonn Yuva 2 with 2250mAh battery launched: Features and Specifications

Karbonn Yuva 2 has been spotted on the official website of the company in blue, black and champagne color variants. Touted as a 4G-enabled smartphone, the Karbonn Yuva 2 is expected to be priced below Rs. 6000 and will be suitable for budget-friendly customers. As the name indicates, the smartphone is manufactured to target youth and students.

The Karbonn Yuva 2 is equipped with a 5-inch HD IPS display, quad-core processor, 2GB RAM coupled with 16GB expandable (up to 128GB) internal storage. The chipset runs at a clock speed of 1.25GHz. The smartphone is designed using a brushed metal finish to provide a premium look. In addition to Wi-Fi, the handset also includes support for Bluetooth and a micro USB port.

The camera part is disappointing with the addition of the 5MP sensor on the rear and a feeble 0.3MP on the front for selfies. You can only expect moderate quality images. We wonder why Karbonn has integrated a low capacity battery when competitors are playing with a minimum of 5MP sensor. The camera also offers support for panorama, face beauty, night mode, self-timer, watermark, HDR including a wide range of image filters and the ability to detect face automatically.

The 2250mAh battery integrated with the Karbonn Yuva 2 is capable of delivering a standby time of up to 180 hours and talk time of over eight hours. According to the company sources, the smartphone will take three hours to charge completely, which is a long time. It seems that Karbonn is going back 10 years with the launch of the Yuva 2. The market is competitive and hence companies need to manufacture new smartphones with latest trending technologies.

The thickness of the Karbonn Yuva 2 is very high at 9.6mm, which is comparatively higher than other competing smartphones. To recall, the company had launched Karbonn A40 Indian in partnership with Airtel.

To purchase the smartphone, you need to pay Rs. 2899 initially and the company will grant a refund of Rs. 1500 after three years. The catch is that you need to recharge with Rs. 169 plan every month for 36 months to be eligible for a refund.

The Karbonn Yuva 2 will be useful for students and senior citizens who would like to work with a budget smartphone. The 5-inch display will be sufficient for senior people to play with phone calls and messaging services such as WhatsApp.
