Yamaha MT-09 with liquid cooling technology launched in India

Yamaha has introduced a new variant of the Yamaha MT-09 in India. Touted as the multi-performance neo-roadster vehicle, the newly launched Yamaha MT-09 is equipped with an 847cc engine coupled with 4-stroke, 3-cylinder, and liquid-cooled mechanism. Moreover, the MT-09 includes 4-valves engine with ABS technology with support for DOHC.

The main highlight of the Yamaha MT-09 is that the bike comprises a compact and lightweight engine. It also includes a sharp, stronger and compact profile. Furthermore, the MT-09 features an advanced rear view with a 3D appearance alongside a swing arm mounted fender housed on the rear side.

The main purpose of the Yamaha MT-09 is to provide an awesome riding experience with superior performance. Moreover, the bike is designed in a minimalistic manner to enable riders to ride effectively without any complicated controls.

Commenting on the development, Roy Kurian, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Yamaha Motor India disclosed that the Yamaha MT-09 has been manufactured with the power of a monster coupled with the agility of a roadster. Kurian added that the new MT-09 has been specially designed to cater to the growing requirements of the superbike segment.

Kurian said that the newly launched bike is being launched based on the concept of multi-performance neo-roadster technique. The latest variant is a significant upgrade to the currently available MT-09 and it offers an extraordinary design integrated with latest trending technologies.

Yamaha has refreshed the suspension on the front to provide an effective damping and also installed a quick shifter for the six-speed transmission. The 847cc three-cylinder engine is capable of delivering 115hp and 87.5Nm of peak torque.

The Yamaha MT-09 is available in Deep Purplish Blue, Matte Dark Gray and Bluish Gray Solid color variants at Rs. 10.99 lakh. According to the company sources, the MT-09 is priced lower than the currently available model, which is mainly attributed to the Goods & Service Tax (GST).
