Amazon India has established a partnership with HAX and Kickstarter for the launch of Startup C-Cube multi-level challenge. The aim is to create a conducive and productive environment for early-stage product startups in the country. While HAX is the world’s biggest hardware accelerator, the Kickstarter is the largest crowdfunding community platform.
To celebrate the first anniversary of Amazon Launchpad in India, Amazon, HAX, and Kickstarter have announced the launch of Startup C-Cube, which is a multi-level challenge for Indian start-ups. It will be flagged off in Bangalore on December 5, 2017. The winning startup will be given all the required support including resources not only in India but also Europe and US depending on the scalability of the idea.
The main purpose of the partnership is to initiate innovative and thoughtful entrepreneurship in India by making effective use of the resources developed by three global companies. Moreover, the deal will enable India-based startup companies to connect with the talented minds and also to showcase their ideas.
It will also provide an ability to convert the generated ideas to expand into real business opportunities. Additionally, the three companies will also provide support for the Start-up India initiative of the Government of India.
Commenting on the development, Manish Tiwary, VP Category Management, Amazon India disclosed that they are excited to hear the grand success of the Amazon Launchpad over the last one year. The start-up ecosystem has completely accepted the Launchpad. Tiwary added that they are excited to witness the launch of several new and innovative products on Amazon Launchpad. Moreover, the demand for these products has increased substantially across the country.
He also said that they are happy to bring Kickstarter and HAX to India to boost the start-up ecosystem in India and also to provide an opportunity for the creators to present their ideas to the global audience. The real aim of the Amazon Launchpad is to turn the ideas into real business opportunities.
As of writing this, Amazon Launchpad includes over 17000 innovative products across various categories such as wireless, electronics, beauty and grocery. Some of the names of the start-ups are Zizira, Vita cups, Aarshaveda Wellness, HySav, Techtex Online and Zizira.
To be eligible for listing on Amazon Launchpad, companies need to have a strong, unique and ready-to-ship products. Moreover, the policies laid down by Amazon should be strictly followed to get the product listed in the store. With a huge market share, the products listed under the launchpad category will be surely noticed by a large number of customers thereby generating sales, revenue, and popularity.
