Vodafone has launched the first free Wi-Fi enabled bus shelter at Sector 18, Noida by Alok Verma (Business Head – Vodafone) in presence of Gaurav Bidhuri, Bronze Winner at World Boxing Championship 2017. With the help of the free Wi-Fi bus shelter, you will be able to enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi for up to 20 minutes per day.
The launch of the new bus shelter assumes importance with the Telecom regulator and Government giving green signal to establish a hotspot Wi-Fi network across the country as a part of the Digital India campaign. The main attraction of the service is that the Wi-Fi service can be availed by users irrespective of telecom operator they are using. If you are using BSNL, you can make use of the free Wi-Fi network inside the bus shelter at Sector 18.
The main purpose of the establishment of free Wi-Fi enabled bus shelter at Sector 18, Noida is because of the fact that the place witnesses a heavy influx of people during the entire day. Previously, the company opened free Wi-Fi bus shelter in Sector 14 Gurugram and Huda City Centre.
Vodafone Wi-Fi Hot-spot network is also available at 116 prime locations of Delhi-NCR. It includes popular marketplaces, malls, supermarkets, colleges, and hospitals. Moreover, the company also launched 20 minutes of free Wi-Fi service at Dilli Haat (INA Market), Fortis Hospital (Gurugram) and Khan Market. You can also access the Wi-Fi service from all Vodafone stores across Delhi NCR.
As a Vodafone customer, you can enjoy up to 10GB of Wi-Fi data for RED postpaid customers free of cost. If you have 3G/4G data packs with recharge of up to Rs. 255, you will be eligible for 1GB of Wi-Fi data.
Commenting on the development, Alok Verma, Business Head, Vodafone Delhi-NCR disclosed that the company is committed to contributing towards making Noida a Smart City. The company is happy to motivate and enable citizens across the city to enable them to experience world-class Internet services on the go.
Verma added that the Wi-Fi initiative is a big step towards Digital India by establishing connected networks among all the citizens. The dream of digital highways is being achieved with the efforts put in by the company. As a mobile user, you will be able to experience enhanced fun with high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity.
The main highlight of the newly launched free Wi-Fi bus shelter is that the service can be accessed by any customer irrespective of the current mobile provider. The company urges all people to make maximum use of the free Wi-Fi network.
