OnePlus announced the launch of the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition at the Bangalore Comic Con event. If you are following the tech world, HP also released a Star Wars branded Pavilion laptop. The company hasn’t revealed the exact launch date. However, the launch of the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition will most likely coincide with the release of the Star Wars: The Last Jedi movie expected to release in the second week of December 2017.
As the name indicates, the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition device will be different when compared to the traditional Black color variant. The smartphone will have a white finish coupled with the Star Wars logo. Moreover, the traditional OnePlus logo will be housed below the fingerprint sensor.
The company has changed the color of the slider button to red. In addition to design changes, the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition will also ship with themes, ringtones and effects. According to TechPP, the limited edition smartphone will be exclusive to India with the launch expected on December 16 in Mumbai.
If you would like to purchase OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition, you should do it immediately after the launch because the company will manufacture only 15000 units. As usual, the device will be made available via Amazon India.
OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition specifications
The specifications will be same as in the standard OnePlus 5T with the integration of a 6.01-inch Optic AMOLED FHD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. On the internals, the OnePlus 5T Star Wars models come with Snapdragon 835 processor, Adreno 540 graphics, 6/8GB RAM, 64/128GB UFS 2.1 internal storage loaded with OxygenOS based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
While the rear side features dual camera comprising of 16MP (Sony IMX398) and 20MP (IMX 376K) sensors, the front side offers a 16MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture and LED Flash. The rear side is equipped with dual LED Flash, which enables you to snap brilliant images. A 3300mAh battery with dash charging functionality supplies adequate power for the smartphone.
