Apple has released iOS 11.2 update with support for Apple Pay Cash and enhanced wireless charging. It is to be noted that the Apple Pay Cash is exclusively made available for the recently released iPhone 8 and iPhone X. The latest iOS 11.2 update also includes a bug fix related to the crashing of dates. The new iOS platform is available for all the compatible iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices running iOS 11.
Date bug
The Cupertino-based tech giant had pushed ahead of the launch date of the iOS 11.2 after the date bug plagued the iPhone and iPad devices, which ultimately led to crashing on December 2 at 12.15 AM. Angry users took to social media platforms such as Twitter and Reddit to expose the problem.
The core problem was that the iPhone and iPad repeatedly crashed even when using apps which access local notifications. Apparently, Apple issued an advisory asking users to switch back the date to December 1 as a temporary solution. Moreover, users also disabled notifications for the affected apps to ensure that their iPhone and iPad worked without crashes.
Apple Pay Cash support
In addition to the major bug fix, the iOS 11.2 update also includes support for Apple Pay Cash, which is integrated into the native messages app. You will be able to send and receive funds from your contacts via a message with the help of Apple Pay. Moreover, the quality of the video camera stabilization has been improved with the update.
Wireless charging improvement
After the installation of the update, you will be able to experience improved wireless charging via 7.5W support with iPhone 8 series and iPhone X. However, you will notice improvements only when used with compatible third-party accessories.

According to 9to5Mac, the Face ID included with the iPhone X became irresponsive after the update process. How to download
The iOS 11.2 is currently available on iPhone 5s, iPad Air and iPad Mini 2 and above models in addition to sixth generation iPod Touch. To download the iOS 11.2, you need to navigate to Settings | General | Software Update and follow the instructions displayed on the screen.
