LG is gearing up to launch the much-awaited LG V30+ smartphone with a large 6-inch OLED display. The LG V30+ handset is expected to launch on December 13. Touted as a successor to the LG V20, the LG V30+ will be equipped with 18:9 Full Display. Hence, you will not find any bezels on the left and right sides. Moreover, there are reports that the upcoming LG V30+ will be integrated with a 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC and dual cameras on the rear.
Display
The LG V30+ is equipped with a 6-inch QHD+ Full Vision Display with 18:9 aspect ratio. With a resolution of 2880×1400 pixels, the pixel density of the smartphone will be 538PPI, which is higher than the standard smartphones.
Performance
The forthcoming LG V30+ is powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB RAM, 128GB expandable internal storage. Moreover, the device will be powered by a 3300mAh battery. The interesting point to note is that the phone provides support for not only fast but also wireless charging functionality.
Camera
On the rear, you will find dual camera comprising of 16MP and 12MP sensors. The 16MP camera will have f/1.6 aperture and the 13MP sensor will carry a 120-degree wide angle lens with f/1.9 aperture. According to LG, the V30+ is the first smartphone in the world to ship with f/1.6 aperture. The advantage is that you will be able to capture stunning images even in extreme low light conditions. Moreover, the dual camera mechanism makes use of crystal clear glass lens instead of plastic. The selfie camera bears a 5MP camera with a wide 90-degree field of view.
Audio
LG has integrated a 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC to provide an immersive audio experience. Moreover, the LG V30+ provides support for Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) technology, which will help in audio streaming.
Operating Platform
Even though Android 8.0 Oreo has been released, the LG V30+ will most likely ship with Android 7.1.2 Nougat, which is a disappointment. You will be able to work with split-screen functionality, enhanced notifications and improved power saving mode via Doze.
Design
The main attraction of the LG V30+ is the addition of slim bezel with 80% coverage on the front. The integration of a curved OLED panel coupled with Full Vision display is a big advantage since it will compete with the iPhone X. Moreover, the device will provide support for HDR 10.
Pricing
We don’t have any information about the expected pricing of the LG V30+. However, the cost will be on a higher side because of OLED display and dual rear cameras. We will continue to monitor the developments and keep you updated. Stay tuned.
