OnePlus has started to push OxygenOS 4.7.4 update for the flagship OnePlus 5T smartphone with camera and system related improvements. There are reports that the OxygenOS 4.7.4 update includes several enhancements to the dual camera mechanism and has been created as per user feedback.
With a total weight of 285MB, the latest release of the OxygenOS 4.7.4 update is based on Android Nougat. The official OnePlus forum staff member Jimmy Z took to Twitter and shared that the update includes an optimized user interface in addition to photo quality improvements.
Talking about the system, the OxygenOS 4.7.4 offers optimizations for audio from both speaker and earphones. It also ships with optimizations for face unlock and vibration including Wi-Fi battery usage. The update also improves the stability of fingerprint and GPS. Last but not the least, the OnePlus 5T will be updated with bug fixes and system related stability improvements.
After the installation of the update, the OnePlus 5T will be able to capture clear and accurate images even in extreme low-light conditions. Moreover, you can capture amazing selfies with the special beautification mode.
Commenting on the development, Jimmy revealed that the company appreciates the active feedback from the users based on the previous iterations of OnePlus 5T. The feedback fetched from the users have improved the team to incorporate several new features and optimizations.
OnePlus has revealed that the update has been released over OTA in an incremental manner. The update will initially hit a small percentage of users followed by a wide audience within the next few days. Alternatively, you can manually check the availability of the OxygenOS 4.7.4 by navigating to Settings | System updates menu option.
Even though the installation of the update doesn’t cause any data loss, it is advisable to capture a backup of data before initiating the download process. You can make use of 4G VoLTE if you have access to up to 1GB of data per day since the capacity of the update is less than 300MB. If you are afraid of data charges, you should switch over to Wi-Fi to download and install the update.
