After the initial debut in the Philippines, Oppo has officially launched Oppo F5 Youth smartphone in India at Rs. 16990. The main highlight of the Oppo F5 Youth is the integration of AI beautification capability with support for facial unlock capability. Moreover, the smartphone includes a 16MP front-facing camera.
Display
The Oppo F5 Youth is equipped with a 6-inch LTPS FHD+ display with a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. The large display helps you to read ebooks and navigate the web including app navigation easily. The bezel-less display will be a deal breaker.
Performance
Powered by an Helio P23 processor, the Oppo F5 Youth features 3GB RAM coupled with 32GB expandable internal storage. The chipset will be capable of performing simple tasks and 3GB RAM is sufficient for performing standard operations. The smartphone gets adequate power from the integrated 3200mAh battery. You will work with ColorOS 3.2 OS based on Android 7.1 Nougat.
Camera
While the rear camera offers a 13MP sensor with LED Flash, the front side carries a 16MP selfie sensor with f/2.0 aperture. Moreover, the front camera also provides support for bokeh effect.
Connectivity
In addition to 4G VoLTE, the Oppo F5 Youth provides support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, A-GPS, OTG including a traditional headphone port. The fingerprint sensor is located on the rear side.
The Oppo F5 Youth is aimed at students and people below 25 years. The device will be able to perform all standard operations at an affordable price. The price of Rs. 16990 is competitive but bit high when compared with Honor 7X.
