Harman has announced the launch of the premium Harman Kardon Allure Speaker at Rs. 22490. The main attraction of the Harman Kardon Allure Speaker is the integration of Amazon Alexa. The speaker will be exclusively available on Amazon India for Prime customers.
The Harman Kardon Allure Speaker provides hands-free and voice-controlled connectivity to the cloud-based Amazon Alexa assistant. Like in the case of the Amazon Echo series, you will be able to prompt Alexa to perform a wide range of activities such as news briefing, music playback, jokes including the ability to purchase goods from Amazon. Moreover, the speaker will have access to over 11000 odd skills.
The Harman Kardon Allure Speaker is integrated with the indigenously developed far-fetched voice technology. Hence, you will be able to interact with the speaker even in extremely noisy environments. The speaker also offers support for Bluetooth 4.2 to enable users to connect with external speakers.
Commenting on the development, Sumit Chauhan, Vice President, Lifestyle Audio Division, Harman India disclosed that the company is excited to launch the Allure speaker in India. He said that there has been a considerable interest and demand for the speaker ever since its launch in August.
According to Harman, the Allure speaker is capable of delivering 360-degree sound by making effective use of the unique transducers and built-in subwoofers. The 360-degree multicolored lighting is designed in such a way to adapt to the surrounding environment. Moreover, the lighting blends with the room in an intuitive way.
The main purpose of the Amazon Alexa digital voice service is music streaming. The Allure speaker delivers premium sound quality coupled with iconic design and exceptional voice-enabled technology. Chauhan added that users will be able to experience an enhanced sound output in a bid to make the life smarter.
Launched in October 2017, the Amazon Alexa ships with several services and skills such as OLA, Uber, Goibibo, Jet Airways, Freshmenu, Tarla Dalaal, Box8, Faasos, Zomato, Amazon Prime Music, Saavn, Bollywood Hungama, ESPNCricinfo, NDTV, ABP Live, Times of India, Byjus, UrbanClap and Housejoy.
It remains to be seen as to how Harman Kardon Allure Speaker will beat the competition of the Amazon Echo Dot and Echo smart speakers. When you have a speaker with Alexa capability for Rs. 6999, why you need to invest Rs. 23000 for the Harman speaker?
