Honor is scheduled to release Honor View10 smartphone in India on January 8. The highlight of the Honor View10 is the addition of artificial intelligence capabilities, which will enable the device to sense the qualities of the person including the ability to customize the functions.
Commenting on the development, George Zhao, President, Honor disclosed that the Honor View10 will be available in India, Russia, United States, Malaysia, Italy, Germany, France, United Kingdom and Spain. He also revealed the launch date as January 8, 2018.
According to reports, the AI-based Honor View10 will be capable of sensing who make use of the smartphone. Moreover, the handset can easily translate messages as per the relevant language including sense functionality preference of the user. The smartphone can also transpose user face image to an animated character.
Talking about the price, Zhao added that the 64GB RAM coupled with 128GB internal storage will be available at EUR 499. We expect the phone to be priced below Rs. 40000 to combat competition from iPhone 8 and Google Pixel.
Honor had a very good run in 2017 with the company selling out several smartphones like hot cakes. The Honor 6X was a deal breaker when it comes to the photography segment. With dual cameras on the rear, the smartphone exceeded the expectations of customers in India.
The company said that the total number of shipments have doubled in 2017 when compared to 2016. Honor smartphones are widely available across all online stores in addition to retail stores across India. Moreover, the company is also planning to establish a state of the art manufacturing facility in India under Make in India initiative.
The company recently launched Honor 7X with a 5.93-inch 18:9 display with a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels and 407PPI display. On the internals, the Honor 7X features a Kirin 659 processor, Mali-T830 MP2 graphics, 4GB RAM, 32GB/64GB internal storage.
While the rear side is equipped with a dual 16MP and 2MP sensors with support for LED Flash and PDAF, the front side offers a 8MP sensor with FHD display.
