OnePlus has launched the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition smartphone in India. The main purpose of the launch is to celebrate the release of “Star Wars: The Last Jedi movie” in India. The OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition smartphone is equipped with a white rear panel with a Star Wars logo embossed on it.
The phone also includes a red Alert slider in addition to 10 preloaded wallpapers and improvements related to software. Inside the product box, you will find a rugged case with the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition, which looks identical to that of the Kylo Ren’s helmet.
According to OnePlus, the Sandstone White rear panel included along with the Limited Edition smartphone is inspired by the white-colored salt plains of the mineral planet Crait, which is featured in the movie. The red alert slider is based on the red-colored mineral mined on the planet. The packaging also contains not only Star Wars but also standard stickers. The company also included a customized theme with red accent, black and white colors.

The OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition smartphone features a 6.01-inch FHD+ Full Optic AMOLED display with a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. Moreover, the display offers a pixel density of 401PPI and is also protected by 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The display also provides support for sRGB and DC1-P3 color gamuts.
Performance
Powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor, the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition smartphone is equipped with 8GB RAM coupled with 128GB expandable internal storage. The chipset runs at a clock speed of 2.45GHz.
Camera
The rear camera included with the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition smartphone comprises 16MP (Sony IMX398) and 20MP (Sony IMX376K) sensors with f/1.7 aperture and LED Flash. The primary camera offers 1.12-micron pixels paired with a focal length of 27.22mm. The secondary camera ships with 1-micron pixels with same focal length. On the front, the OnePlus 5T special edition flaunts a 16MP Sony IMX371 sensor with f/2.0 aperture and 1-micron pixels.
Operating Platform
The OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition smartphone is pre-loaded with OxygenOS based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The company has confirmed the availability of the Android 8.0 Oreo within the next few days.
Battery
Like in the case of the standard OnePlus 5T, the special edition also ships with a 3300mAh dash charge-enabled battery.
Connectivity
In addition to 4G VoLTE, the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition smartphone provides support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, USB Type-C including a traditional headphone port. The device also comes with support for various sensors such as an accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, proximity and digital compass. The fingerprint sensor is housed on the rear side.

The OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition smartphone is available in 8GB RAM coupled with 128GB expandable internal storage at Rs. 38999 via Amazon India and the official OnePlus India store. The company also made arrangements to sell the newly launched smartphone via OnePlus Experience stores in Bengaluru and Noida. The company is also planning to conduct pop-up events in Chennai, Kochi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, and Delhi. Hyderabad and Kolkata on December 16 and 17.
