If rumors are to be believed, Xiaomi is gearing up to launch Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 with 18:9 bezel-less display. If Xiaomi indeed releases Redmi Note 5 with a bezel-less display, then the device will set new benchmarks in the smartphone segment.
Touted as a successor to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, the rumors leaked from various sources reveals the fact that the upcoming Redmi Note 5 will carry a FHD+ bezel-less display. With 18:9 aspect ratio, you will be able to read plenty of content because of the absence of bezels on the left and right-hand side.
The latest information suggests the fact that the launch of the much-anticipated Redmi Note 5 is imminent. Moreover, you can expect the official launch in China by the end of January or February. It has been the habit of Xiaomi to launch new Redmi Note devices in January and the reports confirm that the company will follow the same suit for the upcoming smartphone. Hence, we can surely expect the release of Note 5 around January.
Recently, live renders of the Redmi Note 5 was spotted on Weibo. Upon inspection of the leaked images, we infer that the Redmi Note 5 will bear a full-screen display coupled with dual cameras on the rear. It is almost confirmed that the Redmi Note 4 will be different in terms of display, camera, design and overall hardware.
On the specifications front, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will be equipped with a 5.99-inch FHD+ (1080 x 2160) display instead of a 5.5-inch display included with Redmi Note 4. Moreover, the device will be powered by a Snapdragon 630 processor, 3GB/4GB RAM paired with 32GB and 64GB expandable internal storage variants. Like in the case of the previous counterparts, a 4000mAh battery will supply adequate power for the handset.
Talking about the camera, the Redmi Note 5 will ship with a dual camera comprising of 12MP and 13MP sensors. As per reports, the front-facing camera will have same camera capacity with a 5MP sensor.
We believe that 5MP is less when compared to competing smartphones such as Infinix Note 4. The smartphone will be pre-loaded with Android 7.1.2 Nougat. There is also a possibility of Xiaomi integrating Android7.0 Nougat on top of MIUI 9. That being said, you will be able to work with all the latest features such as split-screen multitasking, improved notifications and enhanced power saving mode via Doze.
