Honor has launched the much-awaited Honor 9 Lite smartphone with an 18:9 display in China. The main attraction of the Honor 9 Lite is the integration of a dual rear and front cameras. During the launch, the company sources revealed that the smartphone will be launched in 14 countries including India. However, we don’t have an exact timeframe for the launch.
Touted as a successor to the Honor 9, the Honor 9 Lite is equipped with a 5.65-inch FHD+ IPS display. The resolution of the device is 2160×1080 pixels, which is higher than the standard 16:9 display. Moreover, the smartphone is comparatively slim when compared to conventional handsets. The Lite version is powered by a Kirin 659 processor, which is more powerful when compared with the Honor 9 launched previously.
The Honor 9 Lite is available in 3GB, 4GB RAM variants coupled with 32GB and 64GB expandable storage variants. The 3GB RAM model is available in 32GB storage. However, the 64GB storage is available in 4GB RAM model. It is also possible to extend the storage up to 256GB. With dual-SIM support, the Honor 9 Lite is pre-loaded with Android 8.0 Oreo-based on EMUI 9.0 user interface.
The highlight of the Honor 9 Lite is the integration of dual camera on both rear and front comprising of 13MP and 2MP sensors respectively. The optics provide support for PDAF, autofocus and LED Flash.
A powerful 3000mAh battery provides the required power for the device, which is capable of delivering a talk time of up to 20 hours and standby time of up to 24 days. Moreover, the fast charging battery will be able to charge quickly from 0 to 100 percent within 2 hours and 30 minutes. In addition to 4G VoLTE, the Honor 9 Lite provides support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS including a traditional headphone port.
Talking about the price, the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage model of the Honor 9 Lite is priced at CNY 1199. The 32GB storage with 4GB RAM will be available for CNY 1499, while the 64GB model with 4GB RAM will cost your pockets CNY 1799. The phone will be available in China starting December 26 followed by the launch in other countries.
