Oppo has launched the much-awaited Oppo A83 in Black and Champagne color variants in China at CNY 1399. Touted as the budget-friendly smartphone, the Oppo A83 is equipped with a 5.7-inch 18:9 bezel-less display with Face Unlock capability. The facial recognition technology helps you to unlock your smartphone quickly in a secured manner. As a customer, you can only unlock the smartphones and thus you can be assured of ultimate security.
Display
The Oppo A83 features a 5.7-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 1440×720 pixels and the trendy 18:9 aspect ratio. You can read more content because of the absence of any bezels on the left and right-hand side.
Performance
The Oppo A83 is powered by an octa-core processor running at a clock speed of 2.5GHz coupled with 4GB RAM and 32GB expandable internal storage. The smartphone is pre-loaded with Android 7.1 Nougat on top of Color OS 3.2 user interface and accommodates dual SIM. A 3090mAh battery provides the required power for the smartphone.
Camera
While the rear side is equipped with a 13MP sensor with LED Flash, the front-facing camera offers an 8MP sensor with video calling support. Like in the case of other standard smartphones, the camera enables you to shoot moderate quality images and videos.
Connectivity
In addition to 4G, the Oppo A83 provides support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi Direct including a traditional headphone port. Moreover, the device also includes support for a wide range of sensors such as proximity, compass, and accelerometer.
The facial recognition mechanism equipped with the Oppo A83 is capable of unlocking the smartphone within 0.18 seconds by making effective use of the 128 unique feature points located on the face of the user.
Priced at CNY 1399, the Oppo A83 will be available in Champagne and Black color variants starting December 29 in pre-order mode. As part of the launch offer, Oppo is offering a free QY7 Bluetooth headset with every purchase of the smartphone.
