Asus ZenFone 4 Refreshes With Android 8.0 Oreo Update

Asus has rolled out Android 8.0 Oreo update for the flagship Asus Zenfone 4 (ZE554KL) smartphone. The company took to its own Asus ZenTalk forum and revealed the development. Like in the case of all other updates, the Android 8.0 Oreo is being rolled out via FOTA. Hence, it will take few days for the new software to hit your devices.

According to the ZenTalk forum, it will take atleast one week for the update to rollout via autopush. Normally, you will view a message notification on your Asus ZenFone 4. You should tap on it and follow the instructions displayed on the screen. Alternatively, you can navigate to Setting | About | System Update to manually check for the presence of the update.

With Android Oreo, you can swipe up to all apps and all the icons related to the app will be changed. The UI design has been modified in such a way to provide a fluid experience. Moreover, Android Oreo will help you to minimize background activity in the apps.

The Autofill capability included with Android 8.0 Oreo helps you to remember logins including the ability to recognize text upon tapping on it. You can quickly press the notification dots to enable you to view the latest messages and updates. You can also make use of the app directly from within the browser without any installation. The Android Oreo also provides support for instant apps, new emoji, adaptive icons and much more.

With software update version V15.0405.1711.76, the Android 8.0 Oreo update is being rolled out over the air. According to Asus, it will take atleast one week for the new update to reach relevant ZenFone 4 devices. It is absolutely necessary to activate Wi-Fi and free up atleast 3GB of storage space before proceeding to install the update.
