HP has added several smartphones to the Chromebook kitty with the launch of the Chromebook 11 G6, Chromebook 14 G5 ahead of CES 2018. Designed to cater to the demands of the educational sector, the newly launched HP Chromebook series includes USB Type-C port coupled with 7th generation Intel Celeron processors.
HP is gearing up to showcase the new Chromebook 11 G6 and Chromebook 14 G5 models at the CES 2018 on January 9. The Chromebook devices are designed for lightweight computing such as desktop publishing, e-mails, and web browsing. Moreover, the Chromebook provides an ability to run Android apps available on the Google Play Store.
According to reports, the new Chromebooks are manufactured with special reference to durability. The devices will have an HD display with an option to upgrade to a touch-enabled HD IPS panel. The 180-degree hinge helps you to work with the display from any direction on a table. We will know more details about the devices after the launch during the CES 2018.
Powered by 7th gen Intel Celeron N processors, the Chromebook consumes low power without sacrificing performance. The laptops are integrated with Intel Celeron N3350 and Intel Celeron N3450 with upgradability up to 8GB. Moreover, the Chromebooks are embedded with the Intel HD Graphics 500 with the possibility to extend storage up to 64GB. HP sources revealed that the Chromebooks have already passed MIL-STD 810G testing.
In the case of the HP Chromebook 14 G5, ports such as USB Type-C and USB Type-A are located on the side of the palm rest. However, you will find the ports on the upper corner of the Chromebook 11 G6. The main attraction is that you can charge the Chromebook via USB Type-C port.
