CES 2018: Flipkart unveils ACs and smart televisions under MarQ private label

If you think only US-based companies are participating in the CES 2018, you are wrong. Flipkart is also participating in the yearly CES 2018 in Las Vegas. The company has announced a wide range of air conditioners and smart televisions under its own private label MarQ label.

The MarQ InnoCool variant of the air conditioners will be available from April 2018 in four variants starting from 1 tonne. The home-grown e-commerce retailer also showcased 32-inch HDR Smart TV, which is expected to go on sale in May 2018. To recall, Flipkart had launched microwaves and washing machines under the same private label.

The MarQ Innocool air conditioners are equipped with anti-dust and anti-fungal filters and make use of an ozone-friendly green gas. The ACs are integrated with Inverter Technology paired with power-efficient copper compressors. The units are manufactured by Lloyd Electric on behalf of Flipkart.

Commenting on the development, Adarsh Menon, Head of Private Labels & Electronics, Flipkart disclosed that the products are exclusively designed to meet the growing demands of consumers. Moreover, the company used to gather inputs via various platforms to gauge the opinion of consumers. Menon added that the main intention of the launch is to eliminate unnecessary features that are of no value for consumers.

Menon said that the new appliances are manufactured based on the price, technology and after sales. Nowadays, consumers are demanding trending technologies to be integrated with the appliances at a price they can afford.

There are incidents of customers postponing the purchase due to lack of quality products that add value. He assured that the air conditioners and smart televisions under the MarQ label will be available at a discount of 15 to 20 percent when compared to other competing products. The main aim of the company is to provide consumers with products that simplify the lifestyle to a great extent.
