Huawei has released EMUI 8.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo operating platform. Touted as a successor to the EMUI 5.1, the newly launched EMUI 8.0 includes features such as real-time scene, object recognition, smart tips, AI-enabled accelerated Translator. However, these features will be made available to the Honor 9 Lite smartphone.
Huawei is planning to roll out EMUI 8.0 for the Honor 7X, Honor 8 Pro, Honor 9i, and Honor 8 Lite smartphones. The recently released Honor View 10 is pre-loaded with EMUI 8.0 based on Android Oreo. Even though the announcement is made, there is no confirmation as to when the update will hit the respective devices. It is to be noted that Honor 6X is not on the list and this is a great disappointment for its users.
The EMUI 8.0 has been designed by making use of machine learning algorithms to bring in AI-capabilities. It includes resource allocation, context awareness including user behavior. The new interface also helps in behavioral prediction. You will be able to work with pinned shortcuts, personalized themes, optimized private space, smart resolution, customized navigation bars and dynamic wallpapers.
Commenting on the development, Huawei revealed that the refreshed EMUI 8.0 is an innovation of efficiency and security. It is designed in such a way to enable beginners to easily work with all the functionalities. The addition of AI helps users to work smartly.
The main aim of the 8th version of EMUI is to reduce the number of steps required to be done to perform a specific functionality. As a user, you can work with functions in a single click without having to navigate deeply.
In addition to user spaces, the EMUI 8.0 also provides support for quick file sharing, fast data transfer, split-screen multitasking, navigation dock, smart view and one-hand operation.
