Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime with Samsung Pay Mini to launch on January 17

Samsung has announced the launch date for the Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime. According to Gadgets 360, the media invite for the launch of the Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime on January 17 has been mailed to all media outlets.

The big highlight of the Galaxy on7 Prime is the integration of Samsung Pay Mini, which enables you to make instant payments using UPI and mobile wallet companies. Nowadays, people are making use of UPI especially after the November 8 Demonetization by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Touted to be Amazon Exclusive, the Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime is equipped with a large 5.5-inch FHD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime is powered by an Exynos 7870 processor running at a clock speed of 1.6GHz. Samsung is gearing up to launch the handset in both 3GB and 4GB RAM variants.

While the 3GB RAM model will feature a 32GB expandable internal storage, the 4GB RAM will have a 64GB storage capacity with a capability to extend the space up to 256GB.

The Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime will be pre-loaded with Android 7.1.1 Nougat, which enables you to work with all the latest features such as split-screen multitasking, improved notifications, and enhanced power saving mode via Doze. The addition of Nougat is a huge disappointment since Samsung should infuse Android Oreo. There is no point in releasing a smartphone with the outdated operating platform since users have a tendency to skip to another device running the latest Android platform.

The rear side will be integrated with a 13MP camera, while the front-facing camera will have another 13MP sensor with f/1.9 aperture. In addition to 4G VoLTE, the Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime also provides support for WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, GLONASS including a micro USB 2.0 port.
