Xiaomi has resumed the rollout of Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Android One enabled Mi A1 smartphone after a brief halt. We had previously reported that Xiaomi has suspended the Android Oreo update due to performance related issues. The company revealed that the errors have been resolved and the rollout has been resumed for Mi A1 in a phased manner.
Based on your region, it will take few days for the update to hit your Xiaomi Mi A1 smartphone. An official spokesperson who declined the reveal the name revealed to a popular tech journal that the new version fixed several bugs from the initial release.
With software build number OPR1.170623.026.8.1.10, the Android 8.0 Oreo update for Mi A1 also comes with Android security patch for the month of January 2018. You can easily install the update since the capacity of the file is around 90MB.
The catch is that the size of the update will be 112MB if the Mi A1 is running Android Nougat. The company added that they are committed to provide the stunning user experience on Mi A1 and the rollout of Android Oreo update is a step in right direction.
