Xiaomi has resumed the rollout of Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Android One enabled Mi A1 smartphone after a brief halt. We had previously reported that Xiaomi has suspended the Android Oreo update due to performance related issues. The company revealed that the errors have been resolved and the rollout has been resumed for Mi A1 in a phased manner.

Based on your region, it will take few days for the update to hit your Xiaomi Mi A1 smartphone. An official spokesperson who declined the reveal the name revealed to a popular tech journal that the new version fixed several bugs from the initial release.

With software build number OPR1.170623., the Android 8.0 Oreo update for Mi A1 also comes with Android security patch for the month of January 2018. You can easily install the update since the capacity of the file is around 90MB.

The catch is that the size of the update will be 112MB if the Mi A1 is running Android Nougat. The company added that they are committed to provide the stunning user experience on Mi A1 and the rollout of Android Oreo update is a step in right direction.

On the specifications front, the Xiaomi Mi A1 features a 5.5-inch LTPS FHD display, Snapdragon 625 processor, Adreno 506 graphics, 4GB RAM coupled with a 64GB expandable internal storage. While the rear side features a dual 12MP camera sensor with f/2.2 and f/2.6 apertures, the front-facing camera offers a 5MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture. It also includes 36 smart beauty profiles with beautification features. A 3080mAh battery supplies the required power to the smartphone.

In addition to Bluetooth battery drain problem, the Lei Jun company has fixed issues related to dialer, random reboots, SIM HD notification. Moreover, you will find the introduction of fingerprint gestures. The company aslo rectified the issues associated with the ambient light sensor.
