Even though Android Nougat update is being pushed via OTA on Monday, it will take few days for the update to hit the devices depending on the region. It is advisable to charge the device up to 100 percent and activate Wi-Fi to avoid excess mobile charges. The update is a full-blown Android Oreo and hence the overall capacity of the update will be around 1.5GB. Hence, downloading via Wi-Fi is recommended to avoid disruption.
On the specifications front, the HTC U11 is equipped with a 5.5-inch (2560×1440, 534PPI) Super LCD5 display, Snapdragon 835 processor, Adreno 540 graphics powered by a 3000mAh battery. The smartphone is available in both 4GB and 6GB RAM variants with 64GB and 128GB expandable internal storage variants.
The rear side features a 12MP sensor with f/1.7 aperture, PDAF, OIS, HDR, and dual-LED dual-tone flash. However, the front camera offers a 16MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture. The handset was shipped with Android 7.1 Nougat based on HTC Sense UI. The rollout of the update is a step in the right direction since users can make use of the features included with Android Oreo.
