Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 13.3-inch gets a reboot with 8th gen Intel Core i5 and i7 processor

Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air

Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air has been upgraded with 8th generation Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processor. However, the change is applicable only for the 13.3-inch display variant. Launched in August 2016, the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air was touted to be an intense competitor to the Apple iPad Air. Moreover, the Lei Jun-owned company had launched a 4G LTE model in 2017.

It is to be that two models of the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air with 13.3-inch display have been upgraded with the recently released 8th generation Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors. The laptop is equipped with 8GB DDR4 RAM coupled with 256GB PCIe SSD expandable storage. The ability to extend the storage is a huge bonus since this feature is not available with competing notebooks.

On the graphics front, the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air features an integrated 2GB NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics card instead of the 1GB NVIDIA GeForce 940MX graphics card. The company has upped the ante by infusing a latest graphics card, which will be a huge boost for gamers.

Like in the case of the previous counterparts, the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air carries a custom AKG speakers with fingerprint sensor located at the top right-hand side of the trackpad. Xiaomi has integrated an advanced and intelligent cooling functionality. It is achieved with the ultra-thin metal blades, which can ultimately control the temperature effectively to enhance the overall performance.

With a thickness of 14.8mm, the Xiaomi Mi Notebook 13.3-inch model measures 1.3kg weight. The notebook is manufactured in such a way that the device is capable of delivering up to 10 hours of backup upon normal usage.
