Within one day after Reliance announced Jio Republic Day offers for the prepaid customers, Airtel has refreshed the Postpaid plans by offering a rental discount of up to Rs. 100 for six months. According to company sources, all Airtel Postpaid plans are eligible to receive the discount including the default Rs. 399 myPlan Infinity Postpaid Plan. The advantage of the offer is that the total amount a customer need to pay will be reduced.
Airtel is offering Rs. 50 rental discount for six months if you opt for the Rs. 399 Airtel myPlan Infinity postpaid plan. Hence, you only need to pay Rs. 349 for the next six months. Moreover, the company is also offering Rs. 100 rental discount for all the prepaid plans worth Rs. 499, Rs. 799 and Rs. 1199 respectively. As a customer, you only need to pay Rs. 399, Rs. 699 and Rs. 1099.
The highlight of the offer is that the rental discount is valid for six months. You will be able to enjoy unlimited voice calls, roaming calls, 100 SMS per day, 30GB data with rollover scheme for Rs. 499 plan. If you would like to buy Rs. 799 and Rs. 1199 plan, you will receive rollover of 50GB and 75GB. Moreover, customers will also receive free Amazon Prime subscription as part of the offer.
Meanwhile, Airtel has upped the ante by refreshing with 1.4GB data per day for the Rs. 509 prepaid plan. The plan also includes unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS per day for 90 days.
According to industry analysts, the main reason for the change in the plans is attributed to the acute competition between various service providers including Reliance Jio. We had reported that Reliance Jio had introduced special Republic Day 2018 plans starting at Rs. 98. The company is not only providing Rs. 50 discount but also enhanced the daily data limit to 500MB for each package.
