Vodafone inks partnership with Flipkart to pump 4G smartphones at low price

Vodafone has established a partnership with Flipkart to sell a wide range of entry-level 4G smartphones under #MyFirst4GSmartphone campaign at an unbeatable price of Rs. 999. The company has launched #MyFirst4GSmartphone campaign on Flipkart exclusively oriented for Vodafone prepaid customers.

If you purchase any of the eligible entry-level smartphones listed on Flipkart, you will be able to avail exciting cashback offers. The offer is applicable not only for new but also for existing prepaid customers of Vodafone. You need to simply recharge your handset at Rs. 150 per month for 36 months. However, the recharges can be of any denomination totaling to a minimum of Rs. 150/- per month.

After 18 months, you will receive a cashback of Rs. 900 followed by another round of cashback for Rs. 1100 after 18 months from the date of the expiry of the first date. Hence, the total value of the cashback accumulates to Rs. 2000, which will be credited to Vodafone M-Pesa wallets. You can either perform digital transactions or withdraw cash as per your requirement.

Commenting on the development, Avneesh Khosla, Associate Director – Consumer Business, Vodafone India disclosed that they are delighted to establish a partnership with Flipkart. Moreover, the company is equally excited to extend the offer for both new and existing prepaid customers. Khosla added that the main aim is to make 4G smartphones available at a never before price points. It also democratizes access to Vodafone SuperNet 4G.

Responding to media, Ayyappan Rajagopal, Senior Director – Smartphones at Flipkart revealed that the e-commerce provider focuses on ensuring a shopping experience for customers that is driven by a diverse selection and great offers. The partnership sync well with the vision of offering smartphone technology affordable and accessible to everyone in the country.

Khosla said that the company is hopeful that it will fulfill the aspirations of several million phone users across the country who would like to work with a smartphone but unable to afford one. The move will also motivate nonusers of 4G to upgrade and enjoy a richer user experience with Vodafone SuperNet 4G.
