As usual, the Government of India announced Padma awards on January 25, 2018. However, the official website of Padma Awards (padmaawards.gov.in) is currently down with a serious security certificate error. The error assumes great importance since the Government just announced the list of awardees on the eve of the Republic Day 2018.
The error occurs not only in Google Chrome but also Microsoft Edge and Vivaldi browsers. We visited the site to know information about the nomination process and other details but unable to locate anything because of the error.
This server could not prove that it is http://www.padmaawards.gov.in; its security certificate is from a248.e.akamai.net.
The site cannot be accessed in Android smartphone as well since we get the same error. Even though the security certificate expires on May 7, 2018, there is something wrong with the certificate. We have already reported the matter to the respective authorities and awaiting their reply

You can check out the errors occurring in Microsoft Edge, Vivaldi and Android browsers below
It’s the customary tradition of the Government to announce the list of Padma awardees as per the recommendations of the respective state governments and other sources. The Government has provided a facility for the general public to nominate people who have made their marks in the various fields.
