After a brief Christmas and New Year vacation, MGCOOL is back in action with full of energy in a bid to prepare for the busy 2018. The popular Chinese-based manufacturer of action cameras, wearables and accessories have announced the roadmap for 2018. We will reveal the first product in the pipeline and it is the next-generation MGCOOL Band 5, which is expected to ship with several new features.
As the name suggests, the MGCOOL Band 5 will inherit all the features of the previous counterpart MGCOOL Band 3 and 4 such as automatic heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, pedometer, calorie tracking including the ability to alert in case if you are idle for a long time.
The main difference is that the MGCOOL Band 5 will be equipped with a 0.96-inch COLOR display with the ability to change the wallpaper. The Band 4 also features the same display size but without a color screen.
You will find the addition of color screen only in premium smartwatches manufactured by Apple. However, MGCOOL has gone one step ahead by providing a color OLED display at a budget price. Expected to be designed using metal finish, the MGCOOL Band 5 will be available by the end of January 2018. There are several interesting products in the roadmap but we will announce them one by one.
MGCOOL had a great run in 2017 by launching several products such as MGCOOL Explorer 1S, Explorer Pro and Explorer 3. The company also launched Band wearables and received huge attention.
