Surface Laptop loaded with Windows 10 Pro now available on Microsoft store

Microsoft Surface laptop is now available pre-loaded with Windows 10 Pro exclusively via Microsoft store. However, you will have to pay an additional $100. The Microsoft Surface laptop is currently available loaded with Windows 10 S operating system. If you are currently working with a Surface laptop, you can upgrade to Windows 10 Pro for free of cost until March 2018.

The Windows 10 Pro variant of the Microsoft Surface laptop is available in Burgundy, Cobalt Blue, and Platinum color variants. You can only purchase Platinum option since the first two color variants are out of stock.

Priced at $1199, the Surface laptop with Windows 10 Pro is integrated with Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM, and 128GB SSD. The Surface laptop with Windows 10 S is also available for $1099. You can also opt for 256B storage model, which is available with Windows 10 Pro for $1349. Microsoft also sells Intel Core i7 processor laptop but the device is out of stock. If you wait for a while, you can buy the other two color options. We expect them to be back in stock soon.

The problem with Windows 10 S based Surface laptop was that the device offered limited functionality. You can only install apps available in the Microsoft Store along with other limitations. With Windows10 Pro, you can perform any task and will be suitable not only for students but also for commercial usage. Moreover, you can install games, antivirus software, Visual Studio, Microsoft Office and others. The laptop will be suitable for developers and IT professionals who are on the go.

According to Microsoft, apps are initially verified for security and locally run in a safe container. This technique is to ensure consistent performance and security for the system. Moreover, both Windows 10 S and Windows 10 Pro customers will be protected against malware and spyware with Windows Defender.

The Redmond-based tech giant also added that customers can also make use of third-party antivirus software from within the Windows Store.
