HTC U11 Gets Android Oreo Update With Improvements

HTC has started to push Android 8.0 Oreo update for the HTC U11 smartphone in India. HTC India took to the official Twitter handle and disclosed that HTC U11 is going to be packed with more awesomeness. Android Oreo is coming. The company also tagged the hashtag #HTCU11 with the tweet.

Like in the case of the previous updates, the Android Oreo update for HTC U11 will be rolled out over the air. Hence, it will take few days for you to receive the new software bits after the actual rollout of the update depending upon the location. If you don’t have patience, you can manually check for the presence of the update by tapping Settings | About Phone option.

After the installation of Android 8.0 Oreo, you will be able to work with picture-in-picture mode, background limits, access to 60 new emojis, notification dots, adaptive icons, keyboard navigation including WebView improvements. You will be able to perform two different tasks simultaneously.

Talking about the specifications, the HTC U11 is equipped with a 5.5-inch Super LCD5 QHD display, Snapdragon 835 processor, Adreno 540 graphics, 4GB/6GB RAM, 64GB/128GB expandable internal storage, 12MP rear camera, 16MP front-facing camera powered by a 3000mAh battery. The rear camera provides support for PDAF alongside dual-LED dual-tone flash.

With the help of the Edge Sense feature, you will be able to perform various actions such capturing photos, open social media platforms etc by squeezing the side panel. You just need to lightly squeeze the side panel and complete the work. The feature will work based on the amount of pressure applied.
