Xiaomi MIUI 10 expected to rollout only for select smartphones

Xiaomi recently pushed MIUI 9 update for a series of smartphones and tablets. Just when the dust surrounding MIUI 9 is about to be settled, an unofficial report surfaced on the web reveals the fact that the MIUI 10 will be available to several smartphones and tablets released several years back. However, we don’t know the exact estimated launch date of MIUI 10. Going by the past history, we expect the launch of the Xiaomi MIUI 10 before the end of July 2018.

According to AndroidHeadlines, the Lei Jun owned company will not release MIUI 10 updates for smartphones launched 6 years back such as shown below

Xiaomi will roll out MIUI 9 stable update for the above devices but no MIUI 10. The main reason is due to the lack of proper hardware. Meanwhile, Xiaomi will push MIUI 10 update for the following smartphones.

It is evident that Xiaomi will not release MIUI 10 update, which will be based on Android 8.0 Oreo to all the smartphones. We have given the list above and if you have access to any one of the handsets, then you can surely expect an update. If you are part of the Mi Community, you can also participate in the beta testing program, which will be launched in May 2017.
