Reliance Jio has established a strategic partnership with MobiKwik to sell JioPhones via their mobile platform. The India-based popular mobile wallet company is the first in the country to sell JioPhone via its own mechanism.
Commenting on the development, Bikram Bir Singh, Business Head at MobiKwik disclosed that they are happy to become the first mobile wallet to sell Jio phones in India. Singh said that users will be able to book JioPhone in four easy steps coupled with excellent benefits. He also said that booking a phone is now just identical to that of recharging smartphones.
You need to click on recharge icon from the dashboard on the homepage from within MobiKwik app. After that, you need to select phone booking option under “recharge and bill payments” category. You will be able to select JioPhone and provide the relevant details to book the phone.
Launched on July 21, the Reliance JioPhone features a 2.4-inch QVGA display, 512MB RAM, 4GB expandable storage, 2MP rear camera, 2000mAh battery coupled with a VGA camera. It is possible to extend the battery up to 128GB. Moreover, the phone also includes a single Nano-SIM and microSD card slots. The advantage of JioPhone is that addition of 4G and VoLTE technologies. According to reports, the company is planning to refresh JioPhone with a lightweight Google Assistant.
