ZTE has rolled out Android Oreo beta for ZTE Axon 7 in the US. The company disclosed that the Android Oreo beta program is being made available to all customers of ZTE Axon 7 with model number A2017U. The company released the update after six months of the official release by Google.
With only a few days left for the introduction of Android P developer preview, the pushing of the update for ZTE Axon 7 assumes significance. This is because users can enjoy working with the latest features including picture-in-picture mode.
Before proceeding to download the Android Oreo update on ZTE Axon 7, you should make sure to install the most recent software with build number B35. Moreover, the company has limited the total number of participants and hence you should apply immediately. It is also essential to establish connectivity with Wi-Fi and charge the smartphone up to 100 percent to avoid interruption.
According to Industry Analysts, smartphone manufacturers are struggling to push Android Oreo update for their devices. Samsung recently rolled out the update but suspended it due to unknown reasons. It remains to be seen as to when the company will relaunch the update.
On the specifications front, the ZTE Axon 7 features a 5.5-inch QHD display, Snapdragon 820 processor, Adreno 530 graphics, 4GB RAM, 64GB expandable internal storage, 20MP rear camera, 8MP front camera powered by 3250mAh battery.
The device was initially shipped with Android Marshmallow but got upgraded to Android Nougat later on. We expect the release of full-blown Android Oreo within the next few months.
