If you had placed an order for the Redmi Note 5 Pro, you will be able to install the latest update as soon as you complete the booting process. You can wait until the next flash sale if you unable to add the product to the cart. It will be difficult for you to buy the smartphone for the next few months because of huge demand. We expect the price to decrease during Flipkart Big Billion Days and you will be able to purchase easily.
It is to be noted that the size of the update measures 1.6GB and hence you should activate Wi-Fi before initiating the download process. Moreover, you should charge the device up to full capacity to avoid interruptions during the installation phase. Interestingly, you need not have to free up disk space because the smartphone is new and will have plenty of disk space to accommodate the latest update.
On the specifications front, the Redmi Note 5 Pro features a 5.99-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio, Snapdragon 636 processor, Adreno 509 graphics, 4GB/6GB RAM, 64GB expandable internal storage, 12MP+5MP dual rear (Sony IMX486) camera, 20MP front-facing (Sony IMX376) camera powered by a 4000mAh battery. While the 4GB RAM/64GB storage is priced at Rs. 13999, the 6GB RAM model with 64GB storage will cost Rs. 16999.
The update has been pushed via OTA and hence it will take few days for the update to reach your device. Alternatively, you can also navigate to Settings | System updates option to manually check for the presence of the update.
