Xiaomi has reportedly sold the recently released Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro like hot cakes within seconds of opening the sale. According to sources, nearly 3 lakh units have been sold out within a quick span of time.
The company also revealed a stunning fact that Mi TV 4 has been sold out within 10 seconds. The sale was held on February 22 simultaneously on Mi.com and Flipkart including select Mi Homes. The company added that the Mi TV 4 sold out within 10 seconds from the time the clock ticked 2 PM.
Xiami hasn’t yet revealed the total number of smartphone units sold during the sale expect the combination of Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro. The company also didn’t reveal the total number of TVs sold but we expect it to be around 100 units.
Talking about the specifications, the Redmi Note 5 is equipped with a 5.99-inch FHD+ (2160×1080) display, Snapdragon 625 processor, 3GB/4GB RAM, 32GB/64GB expandable internal storage, 12MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing camera powered by a 4000mAh battery. The handsets also provide support for fingerprint sensor on the rear.
The Pro model offers Snapdragon 636 processor, dual camera on the rear comprising of 12MP and 5MP sensors coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The selfie camera ships with a 20MP sensor supported by a 4000mAh battery. Xiaomi has integrated MIUI 9.
The Mi TV 4 is a massive smart TV with a 55-inch 4K display with support for HDR and Dolby. You can establish connectivity with Wi-Fi and browse a huge collection of videos and music. As soon as the first sale of the new devices ended, Xiaomi announced the date for the next sale. You will be able to purchase Mi TV 4 on February 27 followed by Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro on February 28.
