Alcatel has announced the launch of the Alcatel 5, 1X, and 3-series smartphones well ahead of the MWC 2018. The company also launched two tablets exclusively designed for kids. The main highlight of the Alcatel 5 is the integration of face unlocking mechanism paired with dual front camera sensors.
The Alcatel 5 features an HD+ display, MediaTek MT6750, 2GB/3GB RAM, 15GB/32GB expandable internal storage, 12MP rear camera, the dual front camera comprising of 13MP and 5MP sensors powered by a 3000mAh battery. Moreover, the smartphone offers face unlocking capability with support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, GLONASS and FM Radio.
On the specifications front, the Alcatel 1X offers a 5.3-inch display, quad-core processor, 1GB/2GB RAM, 16GB expandable internal storage, 13MP/8MP rear camera coupled with a 5MP front camera. A powerful 2460mAh battery supplies the required power. The device will be pre-loaded with Android Go edition based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
The Alcatel 1T tablets will be available in both 7-inch and 10-inch IPS display, the quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB(IT 10)/8GB (IT7). The devices also will be pre-loaded with a wide range of apps exclusively oriented for kids.
The Alcatel 3 series comprises of Alcatel 3V, 3X, and Alcatel 3. The Alcatel 3V is equipped with a 6-inch IPS display, MediaTek MT8735A processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB/32GB expandable internal storage, dual 12MP and 8MP rear cameras powered by a 3000mAh battery. The 3X ships with a 5.7-inch display, MT6739 processor, 2GB/3GB RAM, 16GB/32GB expandable internal storage loaded with Android Nougat. Meanwhile, the Alcatel 3 offers 2GB RAM, 16GB expandable storage, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing camera, 3000mAh battery loaded with Android Oreo.
