Tata Tele Business Services and SLP Jointly Hosts Startup 5K RunWalk in Pune

Tata Tele Business Services (TTBS) has announced that they have successfully organized the Startup 5K RunWalk in Pune on February 25, 2018. The main purpose of the RunWalk is to promote education and healthcare for a girl child. The campaign was a five kilometre run/walk and it started from Kharadi IT Park ground to World Trade Centre and back to Kharadi IT Park.

According to Tata Tele, the whole event saw enthusiastic participation from startup community and college students, running/walking for the cause. The company disclosed that the total proceeds from the event will be exclusive for the empowerment of girl child.

Among several people who participated with a keen interest in the Startup 5K RunWalk, Jotiram Kaulage, Sangram Deshmukh, and Selvaraj Naidu won the top three slots respectively. The winners were given felicitations by Mannu Singh, SME Operations Head – West Region, Tata Tele Business Services.

Responding to media, Mannu Singh disclosed that the 5K RunWalk is a great initiative to create awareness about the cause of gender equality. The company is glad to have a large number of people onboard for the campaign in Pune especially from startup and student communities.

Commenting on the development, Reshma Sagari, Program Leader, SLP disclosed that they are proud to have partnered with Tata Tele Business Services to create awareness among the startup community of Pune. Moreover, the Startup 5K RunWalk is mainly organized to garner support for the cause of education and healthcare for a girl child.

The recently organized Startup 5K RunWalk was mainly targeted at the startup ecosystem including innovators, founders, VCs, and working professionals. Some of the startup companies which participated in the event are My Bike Wash, Sparup, Pik a shoot, Color Ur Blank Spaces and Rida Wellness.
