Google Home gets better with voice calling in the UK

Google Home provides an ability to perform phone calls by simply prompting Google to do the relevant task. If you are in the US, you should have worked with this feature. The latest news is that hands-free voice calling has been enabled for Google Home users based in the UK.

To work with the hands-free voice calling functionality, you just need to say “Hey, Google, Call Mike” or “Call Philip” after activating the Google Home smart speaker. Initially, you will have to complete the setup process, which includes navigating to the Home app and enabling the voice calling functionality.

The system will automatically deliver an OTP to your phone number. This step is mandatory to confirm that you are the real owner. With google home, you can perform calls among multiple users.

If you are in the UK but unable to perform phone calls using Google Home, you have to be patient because the feature is currently being pushed to users in a phased manner. in the meantime, you can install the latest version of the Google Home app to the enusre smooth functioning of the system.

If you don’t have Google Home, you can purchase at a discount of GBP10 from either Google Store, John Lewis, Argos, or Currys PC World. The discount is as part of the Mother’s Day, which falls on March 11 in the UK.
