Jaguar Land Rover has announced the launch of Jaguar XE and XF with support for all-aluminum Ingenium petrol engine which is not only lightweight but also efficient as per latest technologies. The Jaguar XE and XF have been integrated with a 2-litre turbo-petrol motor, which was first introduced in the Velar vehicle in 2017.
The Jaguar XE and XF are capable of returning 147 kW and 184 kW outputs synced to an 8-Speed Electronic Automatic Transmission with sequential shifts via Ingenium petrol engine. Moreover, the Ingenium petrol engine also provides support for all surface progress control. The engine makes use of the Continuously Variable Valve Lift technology to not only improve efficiency but also to enhance air delivery to both engines.
Commenting on the launch, Rohit Suri, President & Managing Director, Jaguar Land Rover India disclosed that the Jaguar XE and XF have done exceptionally well in India. With the launch of the power-efficient Ingenium petrol powertrain enabled Jaguar XE and XF, the company is expecting more customers to enjoy the thrilling drive experience. Suri added that testers have noticed 15 percent improvement in fuel efficiency and the twin scroll turbos is capable of reducing lag and optimizing power output.
While the 147kW powertrain will be equipped with XE Pure and XF Prestige, the 184 kW powertrain is offered on XE and XF Portfolio. The overall power output remains unchanged at 200hp or the pure and prestige models, while the output will be pegged at 250hp for the Portfolio variants.
