Oppo A1 With Face Unlock launched: Features, Specifications and Price

Oppo has officially launched the Oppo A1 smartphone with face recognition technology in Red, Blue, and White color variants. Interestingly, the phone doesn’t ship with a fingerprint sensor, unlike other smartphones. Oppo has deviated from the standard convention and integrated a single camera sensor on the rear.

On the specifications front, the Oppo A1 is equipped with a 5.7-inch HD+ S-IPS display, 4GB RAM, 64GB expandable storage powered by a 3180mAh battery. While the smartphone comes with a 13MP sensor on the rear, the selfie camera bears an 8MP sensor with support for beauty mode.

The rear camera provides support for LED Flash and autofocus technologies. In addition to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, the Oppo A1 also provides support for all standard sensors. The gaming acceleration mode enables Oppo A1 to optimize memory usage even when 10 high-end games simultaneously run in the background. The elimination of fingerprint sensor is not a big surprise because of various factors.

According to reports, the face recognition technology integrated on the Oppo A1 is capable of delivering 128 unique facial features. The company added that they have designed features in such a way to provide unique unlocking functionalities immediately upon showing the face.

Meanwhile, the Oppo F7 with 24MP front-facing camera will launch in India on March 27 and will compete with the likes of the recently launched Vivo V9.
