Amazon India has announced a strategic partnership with Leica Camera to sell their premium high-end cameras in India. As part of the deal, Amazon will sell all the cameras manufactured by the German-based Leica at attractive prices. The aim of the partnership is to change the dynamics of photography in the country and also to enable customers to experience Leica’s cutting-edge technology cameras.
You can purchase three camera models such as D-lux, V-lux, and Sofort starting from Rs 25000 to Rs. 90000. In addition to premium cameras, Amazon will also sell Leica binoculars and camera accessories.
Commenting on the development, Sunil Kaul, Managing Director – Asia Pacific, Leica Camera disclosed that the photography industry is booming in India and the company is committed to create and build a powerful community by leveraging insights of customers. Kaul added that the partnership with Amazon India is an excellent opportunity to create a strong online presence. Moreover, it will help the company to engage with their customers effectively across the country.
