Xiaomi has officially launched the next-generation Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S in Shanghai. The main attraction of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S is the integration of a bezel-less display coupled with a dual camera mechanism on the rear. Moreover, the camera offers AI-centric capabilities.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S is equipped with a 5.99-inch FHD+ AMOLED Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protected display with a pixel density of 403PPI. It is to be noted that the density is same as smartphones with a 5.5-inch display. hence, it remains to be seen as to how users react to the large display. Interestingly, Xiaomi has skipped the notch design on the top of the front side. The company disclosed that the screen-to-body ratio has been improved when compared with the previous counterparts.
Under the hood, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S is integrated with a Snapdragon 845 processor, Adreno 630 graphics coupled with 6GB and 8GB RAM. The 6GB RAM model is available in both 64GB And 128GB storage variants. However, the 8GB RAM model is available only with a massive 256GB storage. The device is pre-loaded with Android 8.0 Oreo on top of MIUI 9 user interface.
On the optics department, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S bears a dual camera on the rear with a 12MP capacity coupled with a 5MP front-facing camera. Among the dual camera, the first camera is a wide angle lens followed by a telephoto lens. the sensor also provides support for OIS, PDAF including AI and portrait mode.
In addition to 4G VoLTE, the Mi Mix 2S provides support for Wi-Fi dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth, Infrared technology. The device also provides support for USB Type C with wireless charging. LIke iPhone 9, the Lei jUn-owned company has eliminated the headphone jack but retained the fingerprint sensor. A 3400mAh fast charging battery supplies the required power.
The 6GB RAM with 64GB storage is priced at CNY 3299, while the 128GB is available for CNY 3599. When it comes to the 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, you will have to shell out CNY 3999.
