Asus has appointed Leon Yu as the Regional Head for India and South Asia. Leon is joining Asus India after a wide experience with Asus Middle East to replace Peter Chang. In a tactical managerial shakeup, Chang has been appointed as the head of the APAC Market Development Center based in Taiwan.
Leon will be responsible for building ASUS brand and business in the South Asia region which includes India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Nepal. the main focus will be to build client relationships and also to grow business volumes and sales of a wide range of products and services. He is having a vast in-depth knowledge and experience of the brand including marketing and distribution strategies. His appointment will bring a new dynamic atmosphere to the local business in a highly competitive environment.
Commenting on the new development, Leon disclosed that he is pleased to join Asus India and look forward to building a robust momentum, growth, and infrastructure that has been created by Peter and his team. He is touch with his Indian counterparts even before assuming office. Leon added that he is fully committed to building the incredible reputation that Asus has earned in India over the last few years. His target will make a huge push in the sales of smartphones, laptops and the ROG series.
Leon started his career with Asus nearly 15 years back and he has been an integral part of the core leadership in Asus headquarters, Taiwan. he has played a pivotal role in the overall growth to drive sales and market share for various markets.
Prior to his appointment in India, Leo was the Regional Director for ASUS Middle East for 6 years since 2012. He was responsible to build and execute the regional strategy, resourcing, and business growth. The company revealed that the sales of laptops and tablets have doubled in the Middle East with his leadership skills.
