Huawei P8 Lite (2017) gets better with Android 8.0 Oreo in China

Huawei P8 Lite (2017) aka Honor 8 Lite in China was one of the best selling smartphones of 2017. The latest news is that the company has pushed Android 8.0 Oreo update for Huawei P8 Lite (2017)  to replace the pre-loaded Android Nougat for users in China.

The update need not be stable because it is the first beta build of Oreo and is not available via OTA. If you are located in China and participated in the beta testing program, you will receive the update. As mentioned above, the update will be made available to Honor 8 Lite in China.

The main attraction of the Android 8.0 Oreo update is the addition of Project Treble, which splits the Android core operating system into two modules. The first one will be the Android core OS and the second module will be the ability to customize the user interface. According to analysts, the aim of the company is to release fresh updates once not only regularly but also quickly.

If you install Android 8.0 Oreo update on Honor 8 Lite, you will be able to work with EMUI 8.0 interface, which brings in new features. The latest beta update doesn’t provide support for NFC. However, we expect the company to provide support for all major technologies in the upcoming builds.
