Vodafone has announced the roll-out of VoLTE services in several cities in Punjab. In addition to Chandigarh, and Mohali, the VoLTE services will also be available in Panchkula, Kharar, Ludhiana, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Patiala, Rajpura, Bathinda, Firozpur, Moga, Hoshiarpur, Pathankot, Batala, Khanna, Phagwara, Abohar, Sangrur, Faridkot, Kot Kapura and Malout.
According to Vodafone, the company is the first to introduce VoLTE coupled with HD quality crystal clear voice with super call connect in Punjab. As a Vodafone SuperNet 4G customer, you will be able to access Vodafone VoLTE for no additional charges. Moreover, all calls will be billed as per existing plan or pack benefits. Commenting on the launch, Arvind Nevatia, Business Head, Punjab, HP, J&K at Vodafone India disclosed that the company has been making significant investments to expand, upgrade the network and to deploy new technologies. The main purpose is to provide the finest service experience to our valued customers. Nevatia added that Vodafone is the first GSM service provider to launch VoLTE services in Punjab circle including 20 key towns like Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Amritsar, Jalandhar, and others. The introduction of Vodafone VoLTE will enhance customer experience to a large extent and also enable customers in Punjab to explore newer possibilities with their smart devices.
You will be able to access Vodafone VoLTE services on all VoLTE enabled devices. If you purchase a new smartphone, then the device will be integrated with 4G VoLTE support. Alternatively, you can verify whether the smartphone includes support for VoLTE by navigating to vodafone.in/volte.
You should also upgrade the Android operating platform if the update is provided by the manufacturer. To work with Vodafone VoLTE, you need to ensure that the Vodafone 4G SIM has been inserted in the data SIM slot/slot 1 and network mode has been set as “4G/3G/2G (Auto)”.
Vodafone revealed that the company has pumped over Rs 2700 crore till date, which includes Rs 122 crore in 2017. Moreover, the services have already been rolled out in over 4658+ sites in the last 12 months. To recall, Vodafone VoLTE was recently launched in Maharashtra and Goa, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, Karnataka, UP West, UP East.
