T-Mobile has rolled out fresh updates for a wide range of Samsung Galaxy smartphones such as Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge, Galaxy S9+, and Galaxy S9. It seems that Samsung has taken a big plunge by introducing updates for trending smartphones.
With baseband version G930TUVS4BRC1, the update for the Galaxy S7 brings in April security updates alongside several bug fixes. The size of the update is around 46MB, which is minimal. You will not notice any visible difference in the UI and the update works under the background.
Talking about the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, the baseband version is G935TUVS4BRC1 and it includes the same April security updates and bug fixes. The capacity of the update is only minimal with 46MB.
T-Mobile also pushed updates for the recently released Samsung Galaxy S9 series. With baseband version G960USQU2ARC6, the Galaxy S9 update includes Android security updates and bug fixes coupled with the size of 343MB.
The Galaxy S9+ update also includes the same features as the Galaxy S9 except for the change in the baseband version, which is G965USQU2ARC6 paired with 373MB size.
T-Mobile has rolled out the update via OTA. Hence, it will take few days for the update to hit your smartphones. If you are eligible, you will view an update message notification. Otherwise, you will have to wait for few days. Alternatively, you can manually check for the presence of the update by navigating to Settings | Software update | Download updates.
Before proceeding to install the update, you should activate Wi-Fi to avoid connectivity problems. However, you can use mobile data for the installation of updates in the Galaxy S7. It is also advisable to charge the handset up to 100 percent to avoid interruptions. The size of the updates are not big and hence it won’t occupy huge time for the completion of the installation process.
