If rumors are to be believed, LG is gearing up to launch a new foldable smartphone with dual displays, batteries including dual headphone ports. The patent named mobile terminal was published on April 5, 2018, even though the company had filed it before WIPO on September 28, 2016.
The upcoming foldable smartphone will be equipped with a dual display comprising of flat and a curved display. The display will be housed on the rear and front side of the handset.
We can spot two different designs that are connected through a hinge. The information related to date, time and icons are displayed on the side of the phone because of the nature of the embedded curved display.
The display area is activated based on the angle between two displays. You will be able to use the dual displays as one large screen in unfolded position. If you fold the device, the two displays will be able to work separately. It is also possible to use the dual displays as a book, using which you can easily turn a page.
While the first display features an integrated fingerprint sensor paired with a digital camera, the secondary camera also offers a digital camera. The battery is placed on both housings. The main highlight of the LG foldable smartphone is the addition of a dual headphone port. Hence, two users can separately watch content by connecting with their own earphone.
