UC Browser has launched an exclusive news channel dedicated to women in Hindi language. The main aim of the initiative is to bring all the best of women-related content under a single umbrella. As part of the launch, UC Browser is partnering with select media organizations and UC We-Media bloggers to crowdsource women-oriented stories.
The UC Browser’s first women news channel will also publish information related to education, health, fashion, lifestyle, relationships and much more. The Alibaba-owned news channel also launched a new campaign to select 20 Sheros or real-life female heroes of India with an aim to publish their inspirational stories on its platform.
Inside the app, you will find a separate section devoted to powerful women entrepreneurs who have not only successfully managed to push their limits but also inspire millions in the process. The app includes feature articles about RJ Sudipta and acid attack victim Lakshmi. While RJ Sudipta’s fat-to-fit story is an inspiration for millions, the Lakshmi’s never-quit spirit motivates hundreds of unsung sheroes and women making a difference in big and small ways.
As of this writing, the UC Browser’s first women news channel is available only in the Hindi language with immediate availability of content in English. The channel will also promote special occasions such as Mother’s Day in a bid to enhance the user engagement and also to raise awareness about the welfare of the women.
