Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge rumored to get better with Android Oreo soon

If rumors are to be believed, Samsung will roll out Android Oreo update for the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge smartphones. According to reports, the Android oreo update will be pushed to all US carrier models sold by AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon including for all unlocked variants.

The reports suggest that the Wi-Fi Alliance has certified the Android oreo for the Galaxy S7 series since it is made mandatory for all mobile service providers operating in North America. You should note that carries should provide the software bits for necessary approvals from the Wi-Fi Alliance. If a device or update surfaces through the Wi-Fi Alliance, then you can safely assume the availability of the ṇew update within the next few days

Like in the case of all other updates, the Android Oreo will be pushed in an incremental manner. Hence, it will take few days for the update to reach your smartphones depending on the location. The updates are not pushed in bulk but to select users on first come first serve basis.

Even though you are located in the US, it will take few days for the new update to hit your device after its official release. Samsung will also push the update for Galaxy S7 users based in the US. To recall, Samsung had rolled out Android Oreo for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, Galaxy S8, and Galaxy S8+ smartphones globally.
