OnePlus 6 rumor roundup: What we know so far?

OnePlus is gearing up to launch the next-generation OnePlus 6 in May. The company has already announced the reward program whereby you will receive one unit of OnePlus 6 with accessories if you are among the top 10 tech enthusiasts. According to reports, the OnePlus 6 will launch in India on May 18. There are reports that the company will conduct global launch on the same day.

Display

The OnePlus 6 will be equipped with a 6.28-inch FHD+ super AMOLED display. The display will be bezel-less and there will be a notch on the top similar to that of the iPhone X. The notch will accommodate all the required sensors and front-facing camera. The integration of a notch is based on the latest trends and will provide an ability to hide the notch.

Internals

Under the hood, the OnePlus 6 will feature a Snapdragon 845 processor, 8GB RAM coupled with up to 256GB internal storage. However, the base storage will start at 64GB followed by 128GB. You need not have to expect immediate availability of the 256GB variant since it will be manufactured in limited quantities. The smartphone will be pre-loaded with Oxygen OS based on Android Oreo 8.0 operating platform.

Camera

The rear camera will offer dual camera sensors comprising of 16MP and 20MP sensors respectively. The selfie camera offers a massive 20MP camera and will have AI-enabled beautification features. Moreover, the handset also provides support for face unlock technology.

Battery

The upcoming OnePlus 6 will be equipped with a powerful 3450mAh battery. The addition of Dash Charge v2.0 will be the main highlight since it provides a capability to offer 60 percent battery upon just 20 minutes of charging. The device will also provide support for wireless charging. OnePlus is also working to release a wireless charger as an optional accessory.

Advanced features

The design of the OnePlus 6 will be same as the previous counterparts. The handset will be resistant to water via IP68 technology. The company will also provide support for Android P after its release. However, you will have to wait until January 2019 to receive Android P update.

Price

According to rumors, the OnePlus 6 will most likely be priced at Rs 39999 for the 64GB storage model. The 128GB and 256GB variants will be expensive and will touch the Rs. 50000 mark. The smartphone will be available in both 6GB and 8GB RAM variants.
